Job summary

Onward Education seeks an English Learner (ELL/ESL) Teacher to support students in grades 2–5, with ESL services spanning PreK–6, on-site in Montague, MA. This contract role covers the 2026/2027 school year and offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.

You will partner with classroom teachers to provide language instruction, monitor progress, and help multilingual learners access grade-level content in a collaborative school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting multilingual learners in an elementary setting, or similar experience.
• Comfort collaborating closely with classroom teams and adapting instruction for different proficiency levels.
• Ability to work on-site and follow school/district service and documentation expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ELL/ESL instruction aligned to students’ language proficiency levels and classroom expectations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to plan supports and scaffolds that increase access to grade-level content.
• Support language development across listening, speaking, reading, and writing through structured, student-friendly instruction.
• Contribute to documentation and progress monitoring as required by the school team.
• Participate in team meetings and communication that keep services aligned and consistent for students.
