Retired teachers are strongly encouraged to apply; compensation is hourly with $50 per hour for certified teachers and $25 per hour for non-certified tutors. On-campus tutoring supports student growth and literacy achievement.

Qualifications

Elementary Reading / RLA Tutor

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Reading / RLA Tutors to provide targeted small-group instruction to elementary students in Grades 35 . The tutors will work with students who need additional support strengthening their reading skills, increasing their confidence, and improving their performance on the STAAR assessment .

This is an excellent opportunity for current or retired teachers who enjoyworking with students and wantto make a meaningful difference through targeted, small-group instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, targeted reading/RLA instruction to students.


• Work with small groups of approximately 35 students .


• Identify and address individual student reading needs through focused instruction and practice.


• Support students in developing skills in areas such as:
