Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking a Teacher Assistant, Level II to support instructional programs in elementary classrooms. This non-contract position involves assisting in small groups, reinforcing lessons, and monitoring student behavior under the supervision of a lead teacher.

The role requires an Associate degree or 60 quarter hours, or completion of specific coursework; you must be 16 or older and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must have Associate Degree or 60 quarter hours/48 semester hours or completion of courses in English, mathematics through geometry and algebra, chemistry, physical science, computer entry and retrieval, health and social studies or by passing the para pro praxis exam.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under the supervising teacher to support objectives.
• Administers assignments, tests, homework and make-up work to support instruction.
• Monitors student behavior and progress and documents observations as required by policies.
