Job summary

Fairport Central School District is seeking a Long Term Substitute Elementary Education Teacher at Dudley Elementary School. You will implement district-approved curriculum, assess student progress, and collaborate with SSTs/IEPs to support students with special needs.

The role requires NYS elementary certification, a bachelor’s degree in education, and prior special education teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

New York State Certification in Elementary Education required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignments.
Successful prior special education teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, meet the needs of students with special needs by implementing district approved curriculum and documenting progress.
Assist in developing IEPs and SSTs for students and support behavior management plans.
Collaborate with administrators and staff to identify student needs and communicate with families as a liaison.
Maintain accurate records and provide student information to colleges and prospective employers as required by district procedures and laws.
Provide counseling and guidance to students and parents to promote personal growth and successful transitions.
