Job summary

ESC is hiring an Educational Aide at Richfield Elementary School. The role supports instructional activities and student care under a licensed teacher, with a starting hourly rate of $18.34 and 5.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

The position requires appropriate education credentials and an aide permit, plus training in safety and student support. It reports to the principal and assigned teacher for daily duties and supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• State Board of Education Aide Permit/licensure required.
• Clean criminal record for public school employment.
• Complete required trainings (Vehicle Safety, First Aid, CPR, Crisis Intervention, Blood Borne Pathogens).
• Comply with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic program and instructional activities under the teacher.
• Work with small groups or individual students.
• Assist with classroom materials, prep and records as directed.
• Supervise students during meals, arrival/departure, and activities.
• Follow prescribed behavior plans and provide accommodations.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in the classroom and activities.
