Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and assess all curricular areas as outlined by the Board of Education.
• Deliver lessons in Spanish or English, depending on grade level and language allocation.
• Understand second language acquisition deeply.

• Promote cultural awareness through extracurricular family activities.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or Educator License with Stipulations-Transitional Bilingual Educator.
• Endorsements in Elementary Education (K-9), Early Childhood Education (Birth – 3rd), or Bilingual Education Teacher – Spanish.
• Fluent and literate in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum and second language acquisition.
• Support the dual language program and its philosophies.
