Job summary

ILTexas in Texas seeks an experienced EB PD facilitator to support PK-5 bilingual and dual language initiatives. The role focuses on delivering professional learning opportunities to teachers, modeling lessons, co-teaching, and mentoring staff to improve both academic and language outcomes.

The position requires 4 years of teaching in bilingual/dual language settings, with a Texas teaching certificate including Bilingual or ESL endorsement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in assigned subject.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with Bilingual or ESL endorsement.
• Bilingual and biliterate (Spanish and English).
• Knowledge of PK-5 curriculum and instruction.
• Experience with 3-5 STAAR tested grades (Spanish and English).

Responsibilities

• Develops and conducts professional developments for teachers, directors, coaches, deans and administrators.
• Coaches, models and supports teachers in planning, delivering and assessing instruction.
• Plans, models and co-teaches lessons with PK-5 Spanish and English teachers.
• Regularly visits classrooms to provide feedback and monitoring.
• Analyzes assessment data to identify improvement areas and provide learning opportunities.
• Maintains logs of support provided to schools and staff.
• Coordinates and facilitates teacher study group activities.
• Participates in ongoing professional development to enhance job performance.
