Job summary

Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) seeks an Elementary Daily Substitute to support students when the regular teacher is absent. You will ensure continuity of instruction, follow lesson plans, and maintain classroom routines in line with CSUSA standards.

You will collaborate with school leaders, convey daily updates, and uphold high standards of behavior and learning. The role requires a high school diploma and familiarity with basic office software, with a focus on student progress and safety.

Responsibilities

• Reviews with the principal, supervisor and/or designated teacher the plans and schedule to be followed during the teaching day.
• Teaches the lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
• Reports in writing the day's activities at conclusion of each day and provides other feedback as requested by the building principal.
• Follows CSUSA policies, rules, and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
• Consults with the principal/supervisor before initiating any lesson not specified in plans.
