Elementary Custodian (Daytime - Contracted) - 25/26 SY

Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking Custodians to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment within school district buildings. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, minor maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs routine cleaning in classrooms, hallways, and restrooms
• Inspects school facilities to ensure operational safety and functionality
• Checks heating, lighting, ventilation, and fire safety systems
• Maintains adequate janitorial supplies and equipment
• Makes minor repairs and reports major issues
• Reports absences promptly to facilitate staffing
• Reports to work during emergencies, such as snow removal
• May work outside regular hours for events or additional duties
