Unalaska City School District seeks a paraeducator to assist elementary students with physical, social-emotional, behavioral, self-help, and developmental needs. Roles may be in IR/ER/PK or general education settings, depending on district needs.
This position offers a 7-hour workday and a 9-month work year, with a starting hourly rate of $23.15–$25.90 DOE. A $2,000 new hire bonus and a $2,000 retention bonus are provided, prorated for part-time staff.
This position includes a $2,000 new hire bonus, which is paid after the successful completion of the first 30 days of employment.
In addition to the new hire bonus, this position also offers a $2,000 retention bonus. New hires will receive the first $1,000 installment in December upon completing the first semester, with the remaining $1,000 paid in June after finishing the school year. The bonus will be prorated for part-time employees.
Assists in the care, instruction, and support of elementary students (PreK through grade 5, or through grade 8 at applicable campuses) with physical, social-emotional, behavioral, self-help, and/or developmental needs. Positions may be assigned to Intensive Resource (IR) rooms, Extended Resource (ER) rooms, Preschool (PK) classrooms, or integrated general education settings, based on district and building needs.

Internal Hourly Rate: Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement
