Greater Albany Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Classroom Teacher (Temporary) for the 2026/2027 school year at Periwinkle Elementary. The selected candidate will work a 0.50 FTE schedule and will begin in the 2026/2027 year, following the district calendar of 191 work days.
Under general supervision, the teacher will implement district approved curriculum, support student growth, document progress, and communicate with families and administrators about student performance and goals.

Salary:$52,792- $93,707 based on education and experience
Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Retirement Contribution: Greater Albany School participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
