Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the listed qualifications.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree, or 60 credit hours plus CDA/certificates as eligible credentials.
• Passing MTTC or ETS ParaPro Assessment is required.

Responsibilities

• Support students with documented medical needs in lunchroom and other settings.
• Assist students with bus arrival and departure.
• Work together as a team with teachers and other support staff.
• Assist students with self-care needs, including personal hygiene and toileting.
• Maintain accurate records monitoring student health and progress.
• Monitor activities to ensure safety of students, classmates and staff.
• Accompany students on field trips.
• Willingness to be trained in seizure protocol, administering medications, and related areas.
• Assist students with classroom activities and assignments as requested by the teacher.
• Escort children to and from various rooms.
• Monitor activities to ensure safety of students and staff.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education
