Responsibilities include planning lessons, delivering instruction, maintaining records, communicating with parents and administration, and collaborating with teachers to evaluate and improve curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school elementary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Maintains classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and materials to maximize instructional time.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and adjusts methods accordingly.
• Instructs students in responsible citizenship and other applicable subjects.
• Pursues ongoing professional development through seminars and research.
• Keeps accurate records of grades, attendance and student progress.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates progress with families.
• Ensures student conduct aligns with school policies and standards.
• Collaborates with grade-level staff to evaluate and improve curriculum.
• Selects books and instructional aids and maintains inventory.
• Supervises students during activities and transportation; administers standardized tests.
