Job summary

PowerSchool is seeking a Classroom Instructional Aide (AE) at Petty Elementary to support classroom instruction under the supervision of a certified teacher. This role involves assisting with instructional activities, preparing materials, and helping manage student work.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and are capable of working well with children, communicating effectively, and supporting students in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree or two years of college preferred.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing and mathematics instruction.
• Ability to work well with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a teacher; work with individuals or small groups.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with supplies and equipment.
• Keep administrative records and assist with reports.
• Assist substitute teachers as needed.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and recess.
