Job summary

PCM CSD is seeking a Paraprofessional for PCM Elementary to work closely with one or more students on a regular basis and help provide an excellent education. You will reinforce material as directed by teachers and support student IEP goals in a dynamic classroom setting. Starting pay is $15.96/hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work with students of all abilities.
• Ability to accept direction from the special education teacher and administration.
• Must clear criminal and child abuse background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work with students individually or in groups.
• Reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Follow directions from teaching staff and school administration.
• Adapt instructional activities to assist students, supporting them cognitively and physically.
• Assist in meeting IEP goals for students served.
• Complete mandatory yearly training (Bloodborne Pathogens, Child/Adult Abuse Training, Diversity Awareness, etc.).
• Contribute to a culture of excellence for all.
• Attend work regularly and on-time.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Assist with classroom supervision and other duties as assigned.
