Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of higher education or successful passage of the WorkKeys test.
• Prior experience working with elementary students.
• Able to manage students independently.
• Ability to understand and apply behavioral strategies with elementary-age students.
• Ability to efficiently use technology.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaboration with coaches, teachers, students, parents, and others.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of district behavior coaches, performs tasks related to behavior intervention.
• Collect daily behavior data.
• Provide direct student care in 1:1 or group settings.
• Follow behavior intervention plans and individualized education plans.
• Assist teachers and aides with implementing plans.
• Prepare student materials with teachers and analysts.
• Participate in professional development.
• Lead through hands-on training and modeling of ethical conduct.
• Teach social skills and replacement behaviors.
• Provide sensory or behavioral breaks as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
