Job summary

Manor Independent School District seeks an Assistant Principal (Elementary) for the 2027-2028 school year to assist the campus principal in administration and instructional leadership across campus operations.

The role requires a Master's degree, Texas mid-management certification, a valid Texas teaching certificate, and TTESS appraisal experience. Three years of classroom teaching required, with a focus on student success and program development within Manor ISD.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in development and evaluation of educational programs; encourage and support development of innovative instructional programs, piloting when appropriate.
• Promote the use of technology in teaching/learning; foster a positive learning climate and communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Participate in campus improvement planning with staff, parents and community; help develop and use information systems to track progress.
• Observe staff performance, conduct evaluations, and assist in teacher appraisals and staff orientation.
• Supervise operations in principal’s absence; assist with class schedules, staff assignments, and extracurricular activity planning.
• Supervise attendance reporting and liaise with attendance clerk on follow-ups.
• Assist with budget requests, supply management, and inventory control; ensure procurement and receipts are documented.
• Support safety inspections, coordinate transportation, custodial, and cafeteria services; ensure supervision during non-instructional times.
• Ensure compliance with laws, rules, and board policies; implement student discipline systems fairly.
• Engage in professional development to improve job-related skills; promote school mission to the community.
• Demonstrate Manor ISD People Experience principles and attend to community and parent involvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by principal or administrative staff.
