Job summary

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree and Principal/Mid-Management Certificate, with at least five years of teaching or equivalent leadership experience. Strong leadership and communication are essential for district goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required.
• Possess Principal/Mid-Management Certificate.
• Minimum of five years successful classroom teaching experience or equivalent (e.g. Instructional Coach).
• Demonstrated ability as an instructional leader.
• Certified teacher appraiser/T-TESS AEL Certified (or able to obtain certification).
• Proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal with overall program planning, supervision, and evaluation for the assigned school.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of programs and projects and submit reports as required by law or policy.
• Interact with students to promote positive attitudes toward school programs.
• Assist faculty in identifying and solving instructional problems.
• Utilize staff and support services to maintain and improve the instructional program.
• Facilitate teacher implementation of concepts in all instructional areas.
• Conduct instructional observations and conferences with staff for growth.
• Facilitate staff development including inservice activities and materials.
• Implement a discipline management system for a productive campus environment.
• Maintain a positive climate for campus staff and support development of student growth.
• Communicate and interpret district goals, policies, and TEA regulations to staff.
