Elementary Classroom Assistant

Siena Academy, a Catholic Montessori school in beautiful Great Falls, Virginia, is seeking a Classroom Assistant for our well-established Elementary community (ages 6-12). This full-time position begins in August 2026.

Siena Academy offers authentic AMI Montessori programs that nurture the intellectual, physical, and spiritual development of children from 18 months through age 12. Our Catholic faith is fully integrated into the life of the school, including the daily practice of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, with an Atrium connected to each classroom. We are a joyful, faith-filled community committed to fostering wonder, independence, and a love of God in every child.

This is a classroom support position rather than a teaching role. The Classroom Assistant works closely with the lead guide by preparing and maintaining Montessori materials, helping keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming, and supporting children as they work independently or in small groups. The lead guide is responsible for presenting lessons and directing the instructional program, while the assistant helps ensure the classroom runs smoothly and meets the needs of the children throughout the day.

The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic who enjoys working with children and is eager to support the Montessori philosophy. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience with Montessori education and/or the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is welcomed but not required. We are looking for someone who is humble, collaborative, dependable, and enthusiastic about growing professionally within a Catholic Montessori environment.
