Job summary

Normandy Schools Collaborative in Normandy, Missouri, seeks an Elementary Art Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to provide students with engaging art learning experiences and support intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

The role reports to the Building Principal and involves planning lessons, maintaining records, and collaborating to meet diverse student needs. Immediate start; certification and a bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Missouri Teacher Certification appropriate for level and/or subject area of assignment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and appropriate instructional aides stressing laboratory learning methods.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans a program/lesson of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of the principal.
• Demonstrates art concepts using models, chalk boards, overhead projector, and other aids.
• Create learning activities connecting art to the students' world and to other content areas.
