Job summary

Rising Stars Academy at MAS Dallas is seeking a passionate Arabic, Qur’an, and Islamic Studies Teacher for our Qur’an Blossoms classroom serving early elementary students. The role focuses on an immersive Arabic environment and emphasizes strong language skills and sacred knowledge.

The teacher will lead instruction in Arabic, Qur’an with tajweed, and foundational Islamic Studies, creating structured lessons and fostering love for sacred knowledge in a warm classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Fusha (Modern Standard Arabic) and English, spoken and written.
• Strong, correct tajweed with ability to model proper Qur’anic recitation.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or related field.
• Teaching certification (or equivalent credentials) Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or related field.
• Background in Arabic education and language pedagogy.
• Experience teaching early elementary students.
• Ability to create structured, engaging lesson plans.
• Commitment to Islamic character development and tarbiya.

Responsibilities

• Teach Arabic language across reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Lead Qur’an recitation with correct tajweed.
• Teach age-appropriate Islamic Studies curriculum.
• Assess student progress using structured evaluation tools.
• Communicate regularly with parents.
• Collaborate with the Education Director and instructional team.
• Contribute to a positive, mission-driven school culture.
