Job Description

Multi-Categorical & Special Education Teacher (Certified). The successful applicant will work with special education students in accordance with their IEP and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Salary: Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay Scale based upon degree level and verified years of experience. 200‑day employment term.

Qualifications

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and demonstrate knowledge and ability to be a qualified and effective candidate for the vacancy.

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree and hold or be eligible for West Virginia licensure with endorsement(s) in Autism or special education certification that covers Autism and Multi‑Categorical Special Education with appropriate grade levels.

ABA trained is preferred but the successful applicant will be provided ABA training if needed.

Additional: If a certified candidate is unavailable, an applicant eligible for a first‑class permit, alternative certification, Teacher‑in‑Residence, or a permanent substitute can be considered.

Endorsement Code: 4111 Behavioral Disorders including Autism; 4115 Multi‑Categorical (LD, BD, MI)
