ABB Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer for the High Voltage switchgear unit in Brno. You will handle design parts of drawing documentation for HV switchgear and develop atypical solutions, suitable for both graduates and experienced designers.

Responsibilities include learning the department's operations, producing drawings in EPLAN, and coordinating with tender and sales teams. Potential global travel is possible; multilingual ability is a plus.

Formación

• Secondary or higher education in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of technical standards (SN EN 62271-200 / SN EN 61439).
• Experience with drawing documentation and CAD tools.

For the High Voltage Switchgear unit in Brno at Videska, we are looking for a new colleague for the position of Electrical Designer.

The main task of this position is to process the design part of the drawing documentation for HV switchgear and design atypical solutions. The position is suitable for graduates as well as experienced designers with experience.

Job description:

• Getting acquainted with the department's operations, production of high-voltage switchgear and training on high-voltage products
• Working in Eplan software (we will teach complete beginners everything)
• Active participation in teleconferences within the framework of the projects being processed
• Possibility of business trips around the world
• Preparation of documents for production and testing laboratory
• Cooperation across the company - mainly with the tender and sales departments

Who we are looking for:

• Secondary/higher education in electrical engineering
• Basic knowledge of technical standards (SN EN 62271-200 / SN EN 61439)
• Orientation in drawing documentation
• User knowledge of CAD (EPLAN or AutoCAD)
• Precision, independence, willingness to learn new things
• Logical, analytical and systems thinking
• Knowledge of English (min. B1) and Czech/Slovak (min. B2), another language an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Internship welcome to a similar position
