Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is hiring a Cocktail Server for the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. You will greet guests, take and serve orders, and describe menu items including chef specials while suggesting wine and beverages.

The role is on-site and full-time with a competitive hourly rate. Candidates should have 1-2 years of server experience, strong public interaction skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work stairs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1–2 years server experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Excellent public contact skills including tact, courtesy and patience.
• Ability to meet standards and satisfy customers.
• Must obtain Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and TIPS certification.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs.
• Maintain an upbeat attitude and be well-presented.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests hospitably and serve them efficiently providing proper food and beverage service.
• Learn and describe menu items to guests including chef specials.
• Suggest wine and other beverages.
• Responsible for standard table set-up procedures and cleanliness of the dining room.
• Other duties as required.
