Job summary

AdventHealth Hendersonville is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to assess patients, develop care plans with the team, and provide skilled nursing care in a Day shift setting.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, education for patients and families, and coordination of high-risk patient care transitions in a full-time daytime schedule at the Hendersonville, NC facility.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's is preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Develops and implements patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administers medications, IVs, wound care, and other nursing interventions.
• Advocates for patient safety and rights.
• Educates patients and families and evaluates teaching effectiveness.
• Coordinates group visits for high-risk patient populations.

Job Description:

Location: 50 Hospital Drive, Hendersonville, NC Suite 5A

Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.




• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards. Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.




• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.




• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.




• Encourages patient engagement in healthcare through motivational interviewing, self-management protocols, and teach-back methodology.




• Coordinates and implements group visits for identified high-risk patient populations.




• Aids in the care transition of high-risk patients, including medication reconciliation and coordination of services.
