Job summary

Lincoln Industries is seeking a plating operator to process parts according to customer specifications and production efficiencies. The role operates plating and cleaning baths, follows safety procedures, and handles part loading, masking, and racking per traveler instructions.

The position is hourly and non-exempt, with duties including monitoring baths, setting up equipment, and ensuring quality while complying with safety and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to read work instructions and travelers in order to follow proper procedures.
• Must be able to read safety warnings and chemical labels.
• Must be able to communicate verbally with others.

Responsibilities

• Read traveler to determine the optimum process for the designated part to be plated.
• Set up and control plating equipment to coat metal objects electrolytically or chemically.
• Monitor process control of plating and cleaning baths to stay within parameters.
• Follow established safety procedures and work instructions.
• Mask areas excluded from plating per traveler.
• Operate hoist systems or hand methods to submerge parts in baths.
• Rack parts and plate using barrel systems.
• May handle hazardous waste and plating/stripping tasks.
• Perform other duties as required per Lincoln Industries' beliefs and drivers.
