Job summary

Richardson Electronics, Ltd. in LaFox, Illinois, is seeking an Electroplating Supervisor to lead the plating operations, supervise a team of chemical operators, and ensure products meet strict thickness and finish specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance, including wastewater treatment and ISO-9001 practices. This is a full-time evening shift (11:00 am – 7:30 pm) with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Formal educational training in Chemistry, preferably with Chemical Engineering/Chemistry degree OR 10-15 years of plating and coating experience.
Experience in environmental compliance and hazardous waste disposal is strongly desired.
Wastewater treatment certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Oversee all plating operations to meet thickness, adhesion, and finish standards.
Train chemical operators in plating bath operation and troubleshooting.
Maintain and review plating process records and chemistry reports for quality control.
Manage hazardous materials inventory and disposal in compliance with regulations.
Oversee wastewater treatment system operation and environmental compliance.
