Job summary
The Lindgren Group's Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN is seeking a Metal Plater/Line Operator. On the 1st shift you will monitor electroplating lines and ensure quality while meeting production targets.
No prior plating experience is required; we provide training and online coursework. The role offers starting pay of $26.00/hour and a $3,000 signing bonus for new hires, with overtime opportunities and potential for long-term advancement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
- Basic math and measurement reading skills.
- Comfortable using computers and production software.
- English reading/writing/speaking required.
- Dependable attendance and safety awareness.
- U.S. work authorization is required.
Responsibilities
- Set up, monitor, and operate electroplating lines per specs.
- Process parts for plating times using established procedures.
- Monitor plating baths, equipment, and process controls.
- Verify proper racking before processing parts.
- Inspect finished work for quality and compliance.
- Complete production paperwork and electronic records.
- Follow all safety procedures and use PPE.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas.
- Work independently while meeting production and quality targets.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
