Job summary

Actalent seeks a Laboratory Technician to support an electroplating process in a production-focused lab. You will collect samples, perform wet chemistry tests, and document results to help ensure product quality and process stability.

Ideal candidates hold a science degree or have QA/QC/lab technician experience in manufacturing, with hands-on titrations and instrumentation such as pH meters, conductivity meters, and ICP. Collaboration with production teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
• Quality assurance/quality control or lab technician experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on wet chemistry experience (titrations).
• Experience with ICP and other lab instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail in sampling, testing, and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from process tanks per procedures.
• Prepare samples for analysis using wet chemistry techniques.
• Perform routine analysis to support electroplating process.
• Measure and record pH, conductivity, and heavy metal concentrations (ICP).
• Conduct salt spray corrosion testing and monitor results.
• Perform titrations and other wet chemistry tests.
• Enter test results into lab/quality systems accurately.
• Keep compliant records for traceability and calibration.
• Calibrate instruments on schedule and document activities.
• Support production by providing timely test data and findings.
• Communicate data and insights with staff and supervisors.
• Interpret results and raise concerns when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and standard operating procedures.
