Job summary

Materion is seeking an Electroplater to support the production of electroplated lids at our facility in the United States. The role involves setting up plating runs, selecting barrel sizes, loading parts, and configuring plating parameters to achieve a balance between throughput and plating uniformity.

You will maintain plating quality, rinse tanks, and perform routine testing to keep chemistry within spec.

• Maintain logs of mean gold and nickel thicknesses and adjust future run calculations for target thicknesses.

The Electroplater is responsible for the production of electroplated lids. You will get the opportunity to: Set up plating runs, determine proper barrel size, part load, and plate parameters to achieve the best overall balance between production efficiency and plating uniformity/quality. Maintain the quality of plating, clean and rinse tanks, perform routine testing and adjust chemistry or replace bath contents as required for process control. Be responsible for the safe and accurate control of precious metal inventory, existing as gold salt solution and as in-process gold plated lids, within the guidelines established by Inventory Control. Maintain plating equipment at its best efficiency and keeps the facility in an orderly and clean fashion to assure optimum plating performance. Maintain logs of mean gold and nickel thicknesses and adjust future run calculations for target thicknesses.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $31.00. Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Requirements:

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
