Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to assist physicians in invasive testing and treatment in the Electrophysiology Lab. Qualifications include invasive cardiology or radiologic technologist pathways, national certifications, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification --or-- Washington Radiologic Technologist
• National Certifications listed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year of experience if qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with recent Invasive Cardiology Laboratory experience or graduate in Electrophysiology
• 2 years of experience if qualifying as Radiologic Technologist with cath lab/IR experience

Description

Assists the physician in the invasive testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab. Responsible for providing specialized technical support and assistance to the physician in the precise diagnostic mapping of patient‑specific lesions, related testing and treatment of adult and pediatric patients. This position troubleshoots equipment problems and works closely with Clinical Engineering staff to maximize the functionality of the equipment and minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications:

• If qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist must be a graduate of a two‑year invasive cardiology program or IBHRE endorsed certificate or degree program (at least twelve month duration) or equivalent

• Coursework/Training: If qualifying as a Radiologic Technologist must be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program

• Upon hire:

• Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification --or--

• Washington Radiologic Technologist.
