Base pay range

$81,785.00/yr - $129,480.00/yr

Electrophysiology Technician / Specialist (RCES Preferred/Required within 2 yrs)

Location: Portland, OR

  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (for eligible external candidates meeting all conditions)
  • Relocation: Assistance available for qualifying candidates
  • Opportunity: Potential for experienced Radiologic Technologists (RT(R)) or Cath Lab Techs to train/specialize in Electrophysiology.

Position Summary:

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is actively recruiting a dedicated Electrophysiology (EP) Technician or Specialist for a rewarding full-time, day shift opportunity with our partner medical center in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized, advanced technical and clinical support for the Arrhythmia Services during electrophysiology procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with and assist skilled physicians during procedures, including scrubbing in, performing diagnostic testing, and implementing treatments for conditions like Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VT, bradycardia, and other arrhythmias.
  • Operate sophisticated EP mapping, ablation, recording systems, and associated radiologic equipment.
  • Ensure patient safety, procedural accuracy, and adherence to all established protocols.
  • Perform duties effectively under the general supervision of the Arrhythmia Service Coordinator.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of education necessary to meet certification, license, or registration requirements (e.g., completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program).
  • Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiographer License required upon hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
  • Prior experience working within a high-volume arrhythmia service or cardiac catheterization lab environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience specifically within a high-volume arrhythmia service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), either current or obtained within two (2) years of hire.
