Electrophysiologist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC

UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County, NC. Our 137-bed licensed acute care hospital includes 110 medical and 27 psychiatric beds and is a member of the UNC Health System. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. UNC Physicians Network provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to the surrounding market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. UNC Caldwell is seeking an Electrophysiologist to join the team!

General Description:

• Full-time position, requiring some clinic, inpatient, and ED coverage.
• Location: UNC Heart & Vascular, 322 Mulberry Street, Lenoir, NC 28645, with long-term plans for a satellite location in Granite Falls, NC.
• Perform procedures in the cardiac cath lab; echo & stress labs are located within the clinic; pacemaker clinic and cardiac rehab are available.
• A brand new, state-of-the-art Heart Center will open in early 2026, attached to the hospital with pre/post patient bays & two cardiac cath labs.
• Commitment to purchase EP equipment upon hiring of a permanent EP physician; currently partnered with a local EP physician until then.
• 24/7 access to an Intensivist.
• Staff: UNC H&V has 1 interventional cardiologist, 1 APP, and a partnership with a local physician assisting with hospital call and cath lab work. Actively recruiting a vascular surgeon and a medical cardiologist.
• Seeking an eager physician who enjoys helping build a new program!
