Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Electrophysiology team in Columbia, SC. You will collaborate with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and nurses to diagnose and manage patients with rhythm disorders across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities include evaluating arrhythmias, developing treatment plans, and supporting device management, ablation, and EP procedures while educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Provider: NP or PA with experience in cardiology (EP experience preferred but not required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS required for adult inpatient positions.
• DHEC and DEA license applications must be started prior to first day.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits for electrophysiology patients.
• Manage patients with atrial fibrillation, SVT, ventricular arrhythmias, syncope, and other rhythm disorders.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure evaluations for EP studies, ablations, and device implantations.
• Interpret ambulatory monitoring data and manage pacemakers/ICDs/CRT devices.
• Round on hospitalized EP patients and coordinate care with the team.
• Prescribe medications and adjust plans per guidelines and scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, procedures, and lifestyle changes.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
