Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a skilled professional to assist physicians in invasive and non-invasive cardiac electrophysiology procedures in an on-site setting in Washington, DC. You will scrub, prepare equipment, monitor patients, and document during procedures with close collaboration to the EP team.

Required RCIS/RCES/RT(CI) credentials and CPR/ACLS, plus relevant cardiovascular tech training.

Qualifications

• Certified cardiovascular professionals required by department standards.
• CPR and ACLS certifications must be current.
• Experience in invasive electrophysiology settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and scrub during invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
• Prepare and arrange catheters, wires, sheaths for procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
• Document data, charges, and equipment used for billing and statistics.
• Assist with post-procedure care and patient/family instruction.
