Job summary

Atrium Health's Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Pineville, NC, invites experienced APPs to join the electrophysiology team in a hybrid inpatient/outpatient setting. Expect ~20 cases with five admissions per provider, within a large MD/APP team.

Ideal candidates are NC-licensed NP/PA graduates with prescriptive privileges and DEA, BLS/ACLS, and 1+ year cardiology/EP experience. NCCPA certification for PAs and Acute Care NP certification are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited NP/PA program with NC license and prescriptive privileges.
  • PA must hold NCCPA certification; NP should have Acute Care NP certification.
  • BLS/ACLS certification required for clinicians.

Responsibilities

  • Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday.
  • Occasional weekend coverage; no on-call.
  • Hybrid inpatient/outpatient EP care model.

Sanger Heart & Vascular Instituteis one of the Southeast's largest cardiac and vascular programs providing the highest quality care available to patients with cardiovascular disease throughout North and South Carolina. Sanger employs more than 110 physicians in a network of more than 25 locations to provide the highest quality care available to patients with cardiovascular disease. Sanger has more than 50 years of experience in providing comprehensive acute and chronic cardiovascular services, including the region's only heart transplant center and pediatric heart surgery program.

Position Highlights:
  • Monday- Friday, Four ten-hour shifts

  • Occasional weekend coverage, no call coverage

  • Hybrid (inpatient/outpatient)

  • Average of twenty cases with five admissions per provider

  • Team of 13 MDs & 17 APPs

Ideal candidates:
  • Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program AND maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified.

  • Physician Assistants: certification from the NCCPA required

  • Nurse Practitioners: Acute Care NP Certification required

  • 1+ years of experience in cardiology and/or electrophysiology

  • Effective team collaborator
