Job summary

UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. This full-time, on-site position combines EP clinic responsibilities with first assisting in EP procedures, four 10-hour shifts, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and certification as NP/PA.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Cardiology/Cath/EP lab or procedural medicine experience preferred.
• Proficiency in vascular access techniques preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with Epic EMR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-procedure EP consultations and order studies.
• Manage post-procedure follow-ups and wound checks.
• Perform chart reviews to assess readiness and identify concerns.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nursing, and procedural teams.
• Provide vascular access and serve as first assist in EP lab.
• Document assessments and communications in Epic EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing education.
• Assist with post-procedure care coordination.
