Job summary

Advocate Health in the United States seeks a Cardiovascular Technology professional for interventional procedures in the Cardiac Services department. The role requires ACLS & BLS within 6 months and an associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or related field. 40 hours per week, first shift, with benefits eligible.

ACLS & BLS certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempted by leadership. Experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved basic ECG interpretation course within three months of hire.
• Ability to quickly change priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates monitoring and recording equipment during procedures.
• Collects and prepares data for physician/staff use.
• Prepares, delivers, and re-sterilizes reusable items.
• Monitors patient ECG for dysrhythmias.
• Operates defibrillator and performs CPR when required.
• Assists in emergency situations.
• Assists in pre/post procedure activities for equipment and patient care.
• Performs basic equipment troubleshooting and calibration.
