Job summary

HealthPartners in Minnesota is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Electrophysiology to support inpatient and outpatient EP services. The APP will lead initial consultations, rounding, discharge planning, and coordinate care with electrophysiologists, with emphasis on device management and rhythm interventions.

The role requires a master's PA/NP, board certification, and MN licensure, with clinical expertise in EP procedures, device interrogation, pacing, and rhythm management.

Qualifications

  • Master's level PA or NP program completed.
  • Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant or APRN in MN with MN RN license.
  • Current APP certification or specialty certification.
  • For PA, must be approved by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Current DEA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate flow of inpatient service: review daily patient lists, prioritize consultations and rounding, and develop a daily work plan.
  • Independently develop diagnosis and initiate treatment plan after discussing with electrophysiologists.
  • Educate patients and families, provide written instructions, and document plans in the EMR.
  • Evaluate interventions and plans to ensure efficacy; sign out patients when cross-covering.
  • Interact with other healthcare professionals; coordinate discharge planning with hospitalists and clinics.
  • Schedule EP Clinic requirements and see emergent clinic patients as needed.
