Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Sykesville, MD is seeking a Test Technician to join our Mission Systems team. You will determine test methods, set up and calibrate equipment, and verify data across a range of technologies to ensure reliable performance of complex systems.

The role includes 2nd–5th shift options, DoD Secret clearance requirement, and opportunities to work on cutting-edge defense technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience with fabrication and test of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems.
• Must have experience with electronics principles.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine methods for monitoring tests and measuring electrical performance on complex systems.
• Set up, calibration and operation of complex equipment and facilities over a broad spectrum of technologies.
• Verify and validate product and paperwork configuration, test processes and test equipment/setup configuration and calibration.
• Measure, collect and record electrical performance data and prepare complete test reports.
• Program and verify devices; troubleshoot systems and test setups to locate defects.
• Assist engineers in creating designs and developing circuits, processes and operations per design specs.
• Develop, construct and test complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems; work from general information.
• Perform initial procedural tests on new or changed equipment and calibrations as needed.
• Adapt to changing assignments and requirements.
• Development of processes, test specifications and revision notices.
• Perform integration of software and hardware through debugging and coding.
