Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Production QA Inspector to perform visual and electrical inspections of products and subassemblies on the production floor. You will set up tests from drawings, document results, and work with Quality Engineering to resolve fixture and equipment issues.

Preferred candidates hold a High School diploma with electronics experience; a technical degree is a plus. The role involves lifting up to 35 lbs and may require standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or electronics experience preferred.
• Experience with electronics inspection and testing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and electrical inspections and tests of products and subassemblies per test procedures and specs.
• Develop knowledge of electronic components and measuring equipment.
• Set up electrical tests from drawings/diagrams using measuring equipment.
• Document inspections and tests on QA reporting forms (daily logs, time sheets, failure reports).
• Advise Supervisor - Production Test of test fixture effects and problems.
• Interpret bills of materials, test procedures, assembly drawings, and engineering docs.
• Troubleshoot issues and document defect information on Product Failure Reports.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve test fixture/equipment issues during prototype and production builds.
• Provide production floor support by troubleshooting and repairing units or circuit boards as needed.
