Job summary

Adecco is seeking an Electronics Test Technician II in Richmond, VA. The role starts as a temporary position with potential to become permanent, offering growth within a dynamic team focused on mission-critical power solutions.

The technician will test, troubleshoot, and validate electronic systems, collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve issues and drive improvements. Shifts include 1st and 2nd, with weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with experience diagnosing at the board level.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Hands‑on experience with electronic testing tools such as oscilloscopes and power meters.
  • Preferably experienced with three-phase power systems and high-powered electrical equipment.
  • Manufacturing or test lab experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work effectively in a production environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate electrical and electronic equipment, including UPS systems and power distribution units.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic issues at the component and PCB level.
  • Operate and program testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and power meters.
  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Identify production issues, report discrepancies, and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Support process improvements while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Work with three-phase power systems and high-voltage electrical components safely.
