Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation in Erie, PA seeks a Test Operator to assemble and test electronic products from NPI to EOL, ensuring performance and defect-free operation. You will execute tests, capture data, and pass/fail parts, while troubleshooting defects and leading RCCA.

Coordinating with a small team, you will inspect tools, set up test environments, document results per routing, and perform occasional soldering across multiple workstations as production demands.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronics degree preferred, or 5–10 years of related experience.
• IPC J-STD-001 certification for soldering; Space Addendum.
• Ability to read routers, test procedures, and schematics.
• Ability to understand and communicate work packages, risks, issues, and procedures.
• Ability to identify manufacturing, design or testing defects via advanced troubleshooting.
• U.S. Citizen per ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily tasks with a small team and escalates risks and issues that could impact priorities within the production plan.
• Perform regular inspections based on quality standards for tools, test setups, and equipment used by production.
• Set up and maintain test setups throughout the product production lifecycle.
• Execute ATP during production runs and troubleshoot basic faults caused by manufacturing defects or testing environment.
• Document test results and product data per routing and EIDPs.
• Work with production/assembly instructions, parts lists, drawings and verbal instructions to assemble products or components.
• Solder and desolder components as required to complete the final product or component.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
