Job summary

CACI in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support development engineering activities and travel CONUS. The role involves systems setup, maintenance, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities include assembling subassemblies, building and terminating cabling, installing network equipment, reading schematics, and maintaining fleet readiness.

Qualifications

• Active DOD Secret Clearance required.
• Basic knowledge of network/communications systems and procedures.
• Typically 3–5 years of related experience; vocational/technical education is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Physical ability to use arms, hands and fingers to operate tools; capable of climbing and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Support development engineering: systems setup, operations, maintenance, testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
• Assemble electronics or electro-mechanical subassemblies for prototypes and operational models.
• Build and install power and data cabling; terminate, test, certify, and solder as needed.
• Install network/communications equipment and diagnose malfunctions; modify equipment as directed.
• Read electrical schematics, service manuals and service bulletins to maintain fleet readiness.
• Work independently or in a team, including in confined spaces and at heights.
• Follow procedures and document test results and reports.
• CONUS travel up to 25% may be required.
• Refurbish customer equipment: sanding, grinding, cleaning, painting, and use of hand tools.
