Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance before start.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience; vocational/technical education in addition to related work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with network/communications systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex technical functions to support development engineering activities, including setup, maintenance, modification, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
• Assist technicians or engineers with assembling electronics or electro-mechanical subassemblies for prototypes and operational models.
• Build and install power and data cabling, Ethernet, fiber optic, and related components; terminate, troubleshoot, and solder as needed.
• Install and troubleshoot network and communications equipment; modify equipment as directed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and bulletins to maintain fleet readiness.
• Work independently or in a team, in confined spaces or at heights.
• Prepare reports and document test results following procedures and work orders.
• Refurbish customer equipment including sanding, grinding, cleaning, painting, and use of hand tools.
