Southwire Company in Georgia is seeking an Electronic Technician to support manufacturing operations with preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machinery. You will troubleshoot equipment, interpret schematics, and apply test equipment to ensure reliability.

The role requires a high school diploma (technical degree preferred), strong electronics background, and proficiency with CMMS, Excel, and PLC logic programming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• Strong electronic background and ability to read schematics.
• Proficiency with CMMS, Excel, and other office tools.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and OEM manuals.
• Experience with test equipment like multimeters/oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using systematic methods.
• Perform routine maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Repair electronic, digital equipment and AC/DC motors/controls.
• Fault analysis of relay logic and motor control circuits.
• Use PLC logic programming to troubleshoot production equipment.
• Replace failed parts and calibrate equipment to spec.
• Adjust equipment to meet operational specs and maintain data records.
