Job summary

Chevron Phillips Chemical Company seeks an Electronics Technician for our Knoxville, TN facility. The role involves preventive maintenance on PLCs, troubleshooting control systems, and coordinating with maintenance, operations, and engineers to resolve equipment issues.

Responsibilities include installing hardware enhancements, calibrating instruments, and providing technical support to instrumentation teams while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical/electronic technology required.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• Familiar with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE) and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on PLCs to ensure reliability.
• Install and upgrade control system hardware and integrations.
• Troubleshoot and repair control system hardware and instruments.
• Provide technical support to instrumentation and electrical teams.
• Offer on-call support for control systems during operations.
• Repair sensors, transmitters, and controllers related to process instrumentation.
• Install field and panel-mounted equipment and electrical components.
• Perform PMs on 480V systems, motors, UPS, VFDs, and drives.
