Job Description: Electronics Technician Maintenance II

GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Electronics Technician Maintenance II to support the Warfighter Training Readiness Solution (W-TRS) Contract, formerly known as ATMP.

The W-TRS program provides operations, maintenance, and training services for U.S. Army training and SC missions, including program management, O&M of TADSS and GFP, training support, and logistics services.

ETM II employees will report to the site lead as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) ensuring Army maintenance standards for all TADSS at their location are met.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to national defense projects, providing solutions tailored to customer needs and supporting Army readiness.

Impact of the Electronics Technician Maintenance II:
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of military simulators, utilizing tools like multimeters to diagnose faults, replacing components, and performing complex repairs.
  • Work independently at remote locations and support surge requirements.
  • Apply technical knowledge and troubleshooting procedures based on manuals or best commercial standards, maintaining documentation accordingly.
  • Record maintenance history accurately in the Management Information System (MIS).
  • Report issues and operational updates to supervisors.
  • Maintain GFP hardware/software per manuals, including software updates and patches.
  • Use MIS to manage work orders and parts inventory.
  • Inspect and inventory equipment before and after training events.
  • Support cross-training for other W-TRS TADSS on installation.
Qualifications:
  • AA/AS degree or equivalent experience (2+ years).
  • Experience with US Army TADSS or military background preferred.
  • Ability to use technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
  • Ability to learn and operate the W-TRS MIS system.
  • Security clearance: Interim Secret or higher.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical leadership.
  • Ability to document and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Knowledge of constructive simulation is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Physical ability to wear PPE and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid state driver’s license and driving privileges.

The hourly rate is estimated between $22.47 - $30.41, depending on experience and location.
