Share this job: Share Electronics Technician Level I(M - F 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) with a friend via e-mail Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Role/Purpose: As an Electronics Tech Level I, will use a variety of hand tools, electronic test equipment, fixtures and work instructions to tune and balance, replace and/or install cables and hardware on all V3 and Tablex metal detection equipment for repairs while meeting our safety and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Follow detailed disassembled and preparation work instructions, processes and procedures.* Disassemble and prepare product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk Assessment and Safe Mechanical and Electrical guidelines. * Tune and balance detectors coming for repairs* Calibrate equipment to meet factory specifications.* Setup metal detectors for overnight testing when completed and verify performance* Replace any electronic components that does not meet Safeline specs.* Ability to replace standard head cable and associated wiring as required on none-remote units* Ability to replace remote head cables and associated wiring as required on remote units* Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and material to Repair Supervisors and/or Repair Manager* Document actions by completing inspection checklists* Accurately track and record time spent on projects* Work with supervision to understand our process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve quality* Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed* Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing function. * Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with co-workers, and management* Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.* Adheres to all company policies and 5S procedures. * Other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Basic experience using electronic test equipment * Good soldering and troubleshooting skills* Safety aware* Quality focused* Good time management* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written* Problem solving/troubleshooting* Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, push, pull for long periods throughout the day and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50lbs.* Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities* Self-starter* Ability to consistently meet deadlines* Familiarity with Microsoft Office.This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law. **OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**Minimum Education / Experience Preferred: * Associate Degree in Electronics* 0 - 1 years of experience in similar position or related environment* Experience in assembly, production or related environment* Medical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching – all starting on date of hire * Tuition reimbursement, employee wellness programs, plus other perks and discounts * Parental and caregiver leave policies* All the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits * Global market strength and worldwide leadership in weighing* A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation * Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards * A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipmentPreferred Location Florida Share this job: Share Electronics Technician Level I(M - F 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) with a friend via e-mail
