Job summary

Lutron Electronics Company, Inc in Austin, TX is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our engineering team. This hands-on role supports design verification, testing, and transition of designs toward manufacturing.

You will gain exposure to power electronics, analog/digital circuits, wired and wireless communication, and embedded micro-controllers, with a mentoring program, tuition reimbursement, and continuing learning through "Lutron University".

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or related field of study required.
• Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA required.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with electronics including oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators preferred.
• Proficiency in soldering and reworking SMT and through-hole circuits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive design verification and testing of both analog and digital circuits.
• Product testing, including user interfaces and communication protocols.
• Hardware prototyping, soldering, troubleshooting circuit blocks.
• Setting up and performing product qualification testing in a laboratory setting.
• Developing test automation scripts for lab instruments.
• Assisting in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturing.
• Coaching or mentoring other technicians.
